Mariah Carey – Glitter 25th Anniversary (PRESALE / Glittering Pink 2LP / Deluxe Edition with 3 Bonus Tracks / First Vinyl Pressing Since 2001 / Def Jam & UMe) – NEW/SEALED – PRESALE

📝 Item Description

You are looking at the Glittering Pink 2LP Deluxe Edition of Mariah Carey's Glitter, marking the album's 25th anniversary — available for PRESALE and already sold out at the official store. The label's description: "Glitter is the eighth studio album by Mariah Carey and serves as the soundtrack to the 2001 film of the same name. Released in September 2001, this dazzling album blends retro-inspired disco, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and pop, capturing the vibrant sound of the early 1980s while showcasing Carey's signature vocals and songwriting. Featuring songs such as 'Loverboy,' 'Never Too Far,' and 'Lead The Way,' Glitter explores themes of love, ambition, heartbreak, and self-discovery. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the album is being reissued on vinyl for the first time since its original release, pressed on 2LP limited Glittering Pink color vinyl with three bonus tracks." This is the deluxe configuration, exclusive to Amazon, shop.mariahcarey.com and uDiscover Music, and the only version carrying "Out Here On My Own," "Never Too Far/Hero (Medley)" and "Loverboy (Firecracker – Original Version)" — the medley appearing on vinyl for the very first time. The standard edition was pressed on Midnight Purple without them. Carey on the reissue: "If someone had told me back in 2001 that I'd one day be unironically celebrating Glitter's 25th anniversary, I never would have believed them." And on the album's long road back: "I made this album with so much love and care, so it was devastating to watch it become a punch line. I'm endlessly grateful to my fans who kept championing it all these years." Released October 30, 2026 via Def Jam Records and UMe, with Carey announcing the campaign as "The Glitter Anniversary Era" alongside a new reimagining of "Didn't Mean To Turn You On" featuring Rochelle Jordan.

⭐ Product Highlights

The first vinyl pressing of Glitter in twenty-five years — the album has not been available on the format since its original 2001 release, which makes this a genuine debut for an entire generation of collectors rather than another repress
Three bonus tracks exclusive to the Glittering Pink deluxe — "Out Here On My Own," "Never Too Far/Hero (Medley)" and "Loverboy (Firecracker, Original Version)"; the medley appears on vinyl for the first time ever, and the Midnight Purple standard edition carries none of them
Sold out and restricted to three retailers — the Glittering Pink was made exclusive to Amazon, Carey's own store and uDiscover Music, never reaching general retail, and has cleared at the official store
The album Mariah fought to reclaim — in her own words, "I made this album with so much love and care, so it was devastating to watch it become a punch line. I'm endlessly grateful to my fans who kept championing it all these years"; Glitter has undergone one of the most remarkable critical reversals in modern pop, driven almost entirely by the fans who never let it go
"The Glitter Anniversary Era" — Carey launched the campaign herself with a reimagined "Didn't Mean To Turn You On" featuring Rochelle Jordan, and the album returned to streaming alongside a digital deluxe carrying fifteen additional tracks pulled from her personal vault
Glitter is Carey's eighth studio album and the soundtrack to the 2001 film — blending retro-inspired disco, funk, R&B, hip-hop and pop into a recreation of the early 1980s, from the best-selling female artist of all time
