A beautifully detailed vintage hand-worked needlepoint tapestry depicting an elegant group of ladies gathered in a garden setting.

The romantic scene is worked in a wonderfully rich palette of pinks, greens, blues and warm neutral tones, with particularly attractive detail to the ladies' period-style dresses, faces and surrounding flowers and foliage. The subject has a distinctly Victorian feel and makes a lovely decorative piece for a traditional, romantic or eclectic interior.

Presented under glass in an ornate gilt-effect frame with decorative corner detailing.

The reverse retains an old Aitken Dott & Son, 26 South Castle Street, Edinburgh label, providing an interesting piece of Scottish provenance relating to the framing/dealing history of the piece. Please note that this label is not being presented as the maker of the needlework.
