About the Album:

Fistful of Metal is the explosive 1984 debut studio album from American thrash metal pioneers Anthrax, one of the legendary Big Four of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth.

Released during the formative years of the American thrash metal movement, the album delivers a raw, aggressive combination of traditional heavy metal, speed metal, and the emerging thrash sound that would help define the genre.

This recording features original Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin and bassist Dan Lilker, alongside Scott Ian, Dan Spitz, and Charlie Benante.

Produced by Carl Canedy, with Jon Zazula serving as executive producer, the album represents an important early chapter in Anthrax's history and the influential Megaforce Records catalog.

The album also features Anthrax's interpretation of Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen," connecting the band's thrash metal roots to the classic hard rock influences that helped shape their sound.

An excellent addition for collectors of vintage thrash metal, early Anthrax recordings, and classic Megaforce Records releases.
