A Quiet Harbour in the Mist
A beautiful atmospheric antique oil painting depicting a quiet harbour enveloped in mist, with sailing boats resting on calm waters and historic European architecture emerging through the hazy background.
The artist captures the peaceful mood of the harbour through a subtle palette of muted greys, warm browns and soft golden tones. The delicate interplay of light and shadow creates a wonderful sense of depth, while the softly rendered buildings and reflections lend the composition a romantic, evocative quality.
The painting is signed ‘A Nolet’ in the lower right-hand corner and is executed in oil on canvas.
Presented in an impressive, ornate gilt frame with decorative classical detailing, the painting would make an elegant addition to a traditional interior, an antique art collection or a gallery wall.
