Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this vintage Lenox Special large oval serving platter, made in the USA in classic warm ivory china with an elegant metallic gold rim.

Sometimes simple is exactly what makes a piece work.

At approximately 16¼" long × 12" wide, this is a substantial serving platter with the clean, understated presentation associated with classic Lenox ivory dinnerware. The broad uninterrupted ivory surface allows whatever is being served to take center stage, while the narrow metallic rim adds just enough formal finish for holiday and special-occasion tables.

The reverse carries the distinctive gold Lenox / Made in U.S.A. / Special laurel backstamp.

Features include:

• Large oval serving platter
• Approx. 16¼" × 12"
• Classic warm Lenox ivory color
• Glossy finish
• Fine metallic gold rim
• Gold Lenox “Special” backstamp
• Made in the USA
• Versatile neutral design for coordinating with other ivory and gold dinnerware

The platter remains in very good vintage condition. The ivory surface retains an attractive glossy finish and the delicate metallic rim presents beautifully. Some very light utensil and surface marks can be seen on the serving area when examined under strong direct lighting, consistent with gentle previous use; there are no chips, cracks or significant condition issues noted.

Its generous size makes this an especially useful piece for holiday turkey, ham or roast presentations, appetizers, desserts or a formal buffet, while the restrained ivory-and-gold design allows it to coordinate easily with many existing Lenox and traditional fine-china settings.
