Rare Early Vintage Fire-King Jadeite Tea Cup – Alice Pattern (Circa 1948–1951)
Description:
Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Fire-King Jadeite tea/coffee cup in the iconic "Alice" pattern, manufactured by Anchor Hocking.
This specific piece is an excellent find for serious glassware historians and variant collectors due to its definitive early bottom marking. The base features the molded relief "OVEN Fire-King GLASS" backstamp. Because it completely lacks the later "MADE IN U.S.A." text or numerical factory mold markings (which Anchor Hocking systematically introduced in 1951), this cup can be firmly dated between 1948 and 1951. This makes it a true first-generation branded issue of this promotional Quaker Oats pattern!
The cup features the classic, delicate embossed floral rim design that tapers beautifully into crisp vertical ribbed paneled walls and a concentric ringed base. The opaque green jadeite glass has a lovely glossy sheen that catches the light wonderfully.
