Beautiful vintage studio pottery garlic keeper attributed to British potter Andrew Russell, featuring a rich cobalt blue glaze with striking abstract white and pale blue decoration.

Hand-thrown from stoneware, this attractive piece has a traditional rounded body with three ventilation holes designed to allow air circulation when storing garlic bulbs.

The jar features a matching removable lid with a raised, shaped knob handle. The deep blue glaze is complemented by expressive, free-flowing white decoration and contrasting natural stoneware rims.

The underside bears an incised potter's monogram, closely matching the Andrew Russell signature documented in the British & Irish Studio Pottery Marks database (BISPM, reference 2486).

Good vintage condition with no apparent chips or cracks. Minor variations in the glaze and finish are characteristic of handmade studio pottery.
