Experience the iconic PRS sound with the new SE Silver Sky, a signature model developed in collaboration with renowned guitarist John Mayer. Building on the legacy of PRS's high-quality craftsmanship, the SE Silver Sky offers a vintage-inspired design combined with modern features, making it a versatile choice for players of all levels.
This model features a solid poplar body and a maple neck with a vintage-inspired 635JM profile, designed to emulate classic 1963/1964 guitar shapes. The rosewood fretboard boasts a comfortable 8.5" radius with Small Birds inlays, providing smooth playability. The 22 frets and 25.5" scale length ensure excellent note clarity and sustain.
The headstock design is tailored for Mayer's playing style, with a curved shape that prevents finger interference and a unique tuning peg arrangement for enhanced stability. The vintage-style, non-locking tuners contribute to the classic aesthetic and reliable tuning.
Equipped with three PRS 635JM “S” single-coil pickups, the Silver Sky delivers rich midrange, warm clean tones, and dynamic overdrive sounds with pronounced attack. The 2-point steel tremolo bridge allows expressive vibrato while maintaining tuning stability, thanks to its innovative design with knife-edge screws and body contact.
Additional features include a synthetic bone nut, nickel hardware, and a gig bag for easy transport. The guitar is set up with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and is ready for standard EADGBE tuning.
This model has already gained worldwide popularity, with initial shipments selling out before release. It’s a must-have for professional and amateur guitarists seeking a modern take on vintage tones.
