The 1006 is a "FiltAmp" module that combines a 24dB/octave low-pass VCF and a VCA into a single unit. It features a ladder-style filter design using matched transistors, with resonance capable of reaching self-oscillation. It handles the entire signal path—from the input mixer through the VCF to the VCA—with two audio inputs that feature independent level controls. The VCA supports switchable Linear/Exponential response, making it suitable for a wide range of sounds, including bass, leads, sequences, and percussive tones.

The 1047 is a 12dB/octave state-variable multimode filter, distinct in character from the 1006. It offers simultaneous, independent outputs for LP, HP, BP, and Notch modes. It supports Coarse and Fine frequency controls, dual frequency CV inputs, and resonance control via CV (Q CV). Like the 1006, it self-oscillates at high resonance settings, producing a pure, sine-wave-like tone that allows it to function as an oscillator as well as a filter. The Notch frequency can also be modulated, enabling advanced sound sculpting and resonator-style applications.

The combination of the 1006’s thick low-pass sound and the 1047’s open, airy multimode character offers a compelling range of sonic possibilities when used together in a patch.

The 1003 houses two envelope generators. With individual controls for Attack, Initial Decay, Sustain, and Final Decay, it allows you to modulate the VCF and VCA with independent timing characteristics. It supports Gate/Trigger modes, Single/Multiple triggering, and both positive and negative polarity outputs.

This three-module set allows you to fully experience the distinctive character of the ARP 2500 series across filter, VCA, and envelope functions.
