Antique Victorian edition of Divine and Moral Songs for Children by Isaac Watts, D.D., published in London by The Religious Tract Society.
This appears to be the 1869 Religious Tract Society edition: library catalogues record a 1869 issue with the same title and publisher, and your copy carries an original ownership inscription dated 10 November 1869, which fits exactly.
Small-format children’s religious verse book with highly decorative black-and-gold paper covers and illustrated title page. A lovely little survivor with strong Victorian visual appeal.
Condition: Fair antique condition. Covers show rubbing, edge wear, scuffs and surface marks, with a prominent circular mark to the rear cover. Spine/hinge area is worn and the binding is somewhat delicate, with visible separation around the inner hinge/stitching. Pages show age toning and scattered foxing. Contemporary handwritten ownership inscription dated 10 Nov 1869 to front. Please see photographs carefully.
