Clean and clear throughout. No fungus, no haze, no separation and no scratches that affect the image.
Operation — tested
Autofocus works correctly and the focus ring turns smoothly. The aperture ring clicks properly through the full range (f/2.8–f/22) and the blades are dry with no oil.

This is the earlier AF Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 — it is NOT the later “D” version.
It has no distance encoder, so it does not pass subject-distance information to
the body for 3D Matrix metering. Optically and mechanically it is otherwise the
same lens, and it works normally in every other respect.
Please also note that no caps are included, as listed above.
