As for the authenticity of that signature, I can only say that, first, I know the previous owner of this book who would not and could not fake such a thing. Secondly, I knew Harlan somewhat (I had him as a teacher at the Clarion Workshop in 1973) and was certainly active in the SF field at the same time he was. I got enough Ellison books of my own signed and a certainly know an Ellison signature when I see one.
