Measurements: There is no size marked on the panties, but they measure to a Size 30 Waist, adjustable downward.

Condition/Markings/Historical Background: This pair of souvenir panties (lingerie) are in Very Good Condition. A few small moth holes in the lower middle front. A small moth hole in the lower right front. Some scattered small moth bites around the back. Elegant pink wool construction with a sewn white cotton lining and yellow rayon nylon sizing drawcords at each side of the front waist. Most interestingly, they are beautifully direct embroidered at the middle front with the ports of call "Guadalcanal / New Caledonia / Australia / Suva Fiji / South West Pacific" in navy blue cursive, with matching direct embroidered navy blue border trim throughout. Based on the original examples known today, these souvenir panties were tailor made in Suva Fiji during WW2 for a GI, Marine, AAF flier, or Navy sailor to send to his wife or sweetheart (may they never meet!) back home.
