installation
🚗 Take off panel and hood latch lever completely. This is either held in place with 2 plastic snaps, it can be popped with a regular screwdriver.
🚗 Trim approximately 1' of plastic from around the end of the cable. Use a pipe or tube cutter, score the very hard plastic the proper depth and remove, however, do not cut the metal cable inside of the plastic
🚗 Slide Hood Latch Release Cable Repair Kit onto the end of the cable.
🚗 Use the hex key Allen wrench to tighten the screws.
🚗 Re-install plastic corner kick plate.
🚗 NOTE: If you find hood does not fully release after installation, try loosen the set screws just enough that you can move the handle. Then, pull the handle out a little and retighten only 1 set screw and re-test the release. Tighten both set screws until it releases like your original one.
