A striking mid-century coloured glass drinks set, comprising a large green jug and four matching stemmed glasses in green, blue, amber and smoky grey.

Each piece is decorated with an ornate silver-tone floral and scrolling overlay, giving the set a very distinctive vintage look. The jug is particularly decorative, with a tall tapered body, flared pouring spout, clear applied handle and wrapped handle detail.

The set has the appearance of Italian / Venetian decorative glassware, although there are no visible maker’s marks, so I have not attributed it to a specific factory.

Condition

The set displays very well overall.

Please note there is a previous repair at the upper section of the jug near the top/spout area, shown clearly in the close-up photographs. It is not especially noticeable when displayed, but it is present and has been reflected in the price.

There is also some age-related wear to the silver decoration, consistent with vintage use.

A very decorative and unusual set, ideal for a vintage bar, drinks cabinet or display collection.
