SIDCHROME  1/2" Drive No.MF1 ~ 3/8" Male Plug ~ Convertor~ Australia ? 


Used but it cannot have been  often!  In a clean and very good condition, the chrome finish is intact  with only the smallest of tool draw scratches.

The internet tells me

Sidchrome was acquired by The Stanley Works (now Stanley Black & Decker) in 1991. Sidchrome closed the plant and ended all local manufacturing in 1996 and started to move all tool manufacturing to Taiwan.


I also read that they where considered  to be top class tools offering life time guarantees!  ( obviously I am not ) 

A guess is.... Circa 1980's +/- a decade

Not much else I can add ~  a lot of useful life left.






Briefly:-

  • 1/2" square drive

  • 3/8" male plug

  • 1.5/16" long  

  • 7/8" dia. body

  • Stamped on the shank, ' SIDCHROME ~ MF1' 

Unpacked weight = 420 grams..................... Delivery = RM Small Parcel

I ALWAYS obtain some kind of: - proof of posting / signature on delivery / confirmation on delivery; both in the UK and Overseas, it does increase the costs but I find it is best for all concerned. And in the unlikely event of loss or damage in transit, I will supply a copy of this if it is needed.

I mainly sell used / vintage tools, by definition they will have the knocks and scrapes  that goes with their age and use .  I am not guaranteeing that they are fit for purpose,  although  many will be .  ie  vintage tools may require tuning, re-setting, sharpening etc. etc. before use.    I try to honestly describe the items as I see them , and please remember I do not  profess to be an expert.  I will never deliberately hide a negative or detrimental aspect of an item that I have on offer.   If I miss anything it will be a genuine mistake.  Please if you spot a mistake or believe me to be incorrect .  Let me know I will correct  ASAP.
