This is a new old stock governor unit used in the Borg Warner Type DG automatic gearbox. We believe that the Borg Warner number is 20-775. It is in Rover packaging with the Rover number 505515, but we believe that there are other numbers within the wide range of numbers used by the British Leyland conglomerate, so there will be Jaguar and probably BMC numbers as well. 

It would appear that new old stock examples of these are very rare, and we have seen one offered at nearly £200 elsewhere.

We are able to offer this one at a considerable saving on that price.
