Item: US Army WW2 British Made M-1936 Khaki Pistol Belt

Markings: "U.S." stamped at the left front. "1ST. US INF. DIV" hand marked in black along the interior middle back. Stamped in inverted fashion at the interior left front with its just legible maker and date, "B.R. LTD. 1944", along with "BRITISH MADE".

Condition: This belt is in Excellent Condition. A small surface nick at the middle back top edge. Some light scattered spot soiling. Boasts a fully intact darkened brass mag pouch snap at the left front, sports a fully functional darkened brass front buckle, and features both of the original darkened brass sizing keepers.

Historical Background: During WW2, the US Army used local British made "reverse lend lease" gear to avoid shipping equipment halfway around the world. The program included uniforms, pistol belts, musette bags, canteen covers, M-1936 suspenders, and more.
