A lovely vintage postcard showing The Avenue, Pontardawe, South Wales.

An attractive old street scene showing the tree-lined road, surrounding countryside, stone walls and traditional buildings. A good example of an early view of Pontardawe before modern development.

The reverse is marked “POST CARD – BRITISH MADE” and has been postally used, with a handwritten message, Swansea postmark and King George V 1d postage stamp.

A nice postcard for collectors of Pontardawe, Swansea Valley, Welsh local history and vintage street scenes.
