Tibaldi for Bentley – Crewe 60 Years Limited Edition Sterling Silver Rollerball Pen – No. 117 of 200
A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally scarce Tibaldi for Bentley Crewe 60 Years Sterling Silver Rollerball Pen, produced to commemorate 60 years of Bentley motor-car production at Crewe.
This is individually numbered 117/200, from a worldwide edition of only 200 sterling silver rollerball pens.
The matching original certificate of authenticity confirms the limited-edition number and model.
The pen features the distinctive intricately engraved sterling-silver body associated with the Crewe 60 Years collection, inspired by Bentley’s traditional engine-turned detailing. It is finished with Bentley and Tibaldi detailing throughout.
Complete collector’s presentation set
This example is accompanied by an extensive collection of its original presentation materials, including:
* Original large Bentley wooden marquetry presentation case * Original presentation-case key * Matching signed certificate of authenticity – 117/200 * Tibaldi for Bentley user manual and guarantee * Registration documentation * Original Tibaldi/Bentley literature * Original cleaning cloth, still sealed * Additional original presentation material/paperwork as photographed
The presentation case itself is an impressive piece, beautifully finished in contrasting veneers with the Bentley winged ‘B’ emblem to the lid and a suede-style fitted interior.
Condition
The pen is in excellent pre-owned condition for its age, as shown in the detailed photographs.
There is some natural toning/tarnishing to the sterling silver, consistent with age and the nature of the material. I have deliberately not heavily polished the pen, preferring to leave the original finish and intricate engraving intact for its next owner.
Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description and show the condition of the pen, presentation case, paperwork and accessories.
The matching 117/200 limited-edition number can clearly be seen both on the pen and on its certificate.
A very rare Bentley collectible
This isn’t simply a Bentley-branded writing instrument. The Crewe 60 Years collection was one of Tibaldi’s particularly exclusive collaborations with Bentley, with this sterling-silver rollerball version restricted to just 200 examples worldwide.
With its original Bentley presentation casket, matching numbered certificate and accompanying documentation, this is an unusually complete example and would make a superb addition to a serious Bentley, Tibaldi, luxury writing instrument or motoring memorabilia collection.
