ROGER HILL ESTATE: Packet of 3 LEV GLEASON COMIC TRADING CARDS (1951). Includes Reliapon from Black Diamond Western card, Scarecrow from Daredevil, and Rocky X of the Rocketeers from Boy Comics, all in EX condition, as well as the “Hi Feller!” card (VG with toning) and the original envelope (torn open on 3 sides)

These cards are from the collection of my good friend, the legendary ROGER HILL (1948-2023), EC fan extraordinaire, co-creator of the seminal fanzine SQUA TRONT and author & editor of many fine books and magazines including the EC Fan-Addict Fanzine (2004-onwards), Against the Grain: MAD Artist Wallace Wood (2003), Frank R. Paul: The Dean of Science Fiction Illustration (2012), Wally Wood: Galaxy Art and Beyond (2016), Reed Crandall: Illustrator of the Comics (2017), Mac Raboy: Master of the Comics (2019), and The Chillingly Weird Art of Matt Fox (2023). I am helping Roger’s family sort through his vast collection (even after Heritage Auctions took the high value items, there is still an amazing amount of great material there). Roger’s greatest skill was finding out where important comic archives were and how to get ahold of them! Comes with a COA.

Priced to sell with NO RESERVE! Will combine shipping on multiple lots!
