DAOfood Plus from Herbamedica is a dietary supplement for specialized medical use, which aims to regulate the levels of the enzyme Diamino Oxidase in the small intestine and thus support the breakdown of histamine from food. When there is a deficiency of this enzyme in the body or its activity is reduced, histamine units are not absorbed, which leads to a number of unpleasant symptoms. Diaminooxidase is the main enzyme responsible for the metabolism of dietary histamine in the intestine. DAO catalyzes the oxidative deamination of the primary amino group of histamine to imidazole acetaldehyde, while also releasing hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. It is stored in plasma membrane vesicles in the epithelial cells of the kidneys and intestines and is released into the circulation under various stimulations. It is included in the group of copper amine oxidases, and its active form is the homodimeric one with the active cofactor 2,4,5-trihydroxyphenylalanine quinone. Its kinetics are 20 µmol / L for histamine, and its optimal functioning is at pH 7.2.

DAOfood Plus is an exogenous, easily digestible and bioavailable form of the enzyme. When taken correctly, it reaches the intestines, where, in addition to the already available DAO, it breaks down histamine. Taking one capsule of DAOfood Plus before each meal increases the amount of DAO in the small intestine and thus significantly reduces various health problems.

Composition in a recommended daily intake of 3 capsules:

Quercetin 95% - 120 mg ● Vitamin C - 60 mg ● Natural protein extract 7% DAO, - 12.6 mg of which Diamine Oxidase (DAO) - 0.9 mg.

Dosage:

1 capsule, with a little water, 20-30 minutes before each meal (three times a day). The capsule should be swallowed whole without chewing. In case you cannot swallow the capsule whole, open it and swallow the pellets inside without chewing or breaking them.

The dietary supplement Daosin from Stada contains the enzyme diamine oxidase, which breaks down histamine contained in food. Histamine is a neurotransmitter, regulates the sleep-wake rhythm and controls appetite. When consuming more foods that contain it, the body fails to break it down. Taking Daosin is recommended, because otherwise symptoms such as headache, rash, gastrointestinal complaints appear.

Dosage:

1 tablet 15 minutes before eating food containing histamine. Take up to 3 times a day, with a little water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.

Storage:

Store in a dry place at a temperature of up to 25 degrees. Keep out of the reach of children. Store in the refrigerator after removing the blister from the protective aluminum foil.
