Pressed on Gold Ruby colored vinyl, the anniversary edition also includes 'heaven sent,' a song made during the Hellboy era." Released September 25, 2016, Hellboy is the mixtape that broke Lil Peep to a global audience and remains the record most often cited as his defining work — Pitchfork scored it 8.5/10. Gustav Åhr recorded it at nineteen, having built his following entirely through SoundCloud, and named it after the comic book character he had been reading and admired, later explaining the connection in a filmed interview for GQ. The mixtape produced "Girls" featuring Horse Head, since certified Gold by the RIAA, and carries collaborations with Lil Tracy on "cobain" and "the song they played [when i crashed into the wall]" alongside Xavier Wulf on "drive by."
