This set includes weighted bobbins(Tama) used for braiding kumihimo. Each bobbin holds thread that is wound around it, with a weight at the center to maintain tension. The thread is then arranged around a round kumihimo stand. One of the key tips for creating beautiful kumihimo braids is to make sure all the bobbins hang at the same height around marudai.
