Antique Webster Sterling Baby Brush Unmonogrammed Center (nameplate) Cartouche. This antique sterling silver top casing with natural bristles baby hair brush (or small utility/clothes brush) was manufactured by the Webster Sterling Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, U.S.A.. A classic rectangular, curved-top silhouette with a decorative embossed scroll pattern bordering the edges. The center features a blank rectangular cartouche intended for custom monogramming. The brush measures approximately 3" by 1-3/4" and sites 1-1/2" tall. the side of the brush has the hallmark of the Webster Company of an arrow piercing a stylized "W" and an overlapping "C" for company. Stamped in front of that is the word "STERLING".

The brush is in good shape considering its age. The bristles are clean and the silver shows a natural tarnish, patina and slight surface wear consistent with age. The brush has been in climate controlled storage for at least 30-years and has not been cleaned or touched up in any way. Every effort is made to faithfully represent the colors in the photos as close to the original "real-life" colors as possible.
