Step into the daily business of Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood in 1911 with this original handwritten order book.

Approximately 23 pages contain dated entries, with about 50 additional pages left blank. The photographed entries record purchases and payments for everyday goods and services, including bread, butter, lumber, water, and electricity. Names visible in the book include Oak Park Water, Oak Park Lumber, and Buffalo Brewing Co. Together, these entries point to the Sacramento area.

The cloth-covered book is marked “Order Book” on the front. Its handwritten pages offer a fascinating record of prices, local businesses, and ordinary life in the early 1900s.
