Glass as pictured is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and is marked LIBERTYVILLE FAIR 1913. In the early 1900’s, the Lake County Illinois Fair was held in Libertyville. At that time, the fairground site was where Lake Minear currently exists. When the Lake County Fair was moved to Grays Lake, now Grayslake, the site was converted to a Gravel Pit. After a number of decades, the pit flooded, and was eventually named Lake Minear. For those not familiar, the site was on the north side of Oak Spring Road, and immediately west of the Des Plains River. Winning buyer will need to add $13.50 for USPS Shipping. Some of the towns close to this site are Waukegan, North Chicago, Lake Bluff, Rondout, Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Diamond Lake, Ivanhoe, Round Lake, Volo, and more. Nice piece of early Libertyville history. Thanks for looking, and have a great day!
