This is a vintage West End Watch Co. Sowar Prima Automatic wristwatch with a rare red dial and Swiss-made movement. Known for its military durability and classic design, the Sowar line was originally created for the British Indian cavalry—“Sowar” meaning horseman in Urdu.
As per one of the interested Collectors on ebay, As a WWI trench watch collector I tell you one thing. Your watch is of a very high historical value. It is not women's but soldier's. Looks small but in those years, it was the standard men's size. The red or black dial prevented or reflections of light so that the soldier was not discovered. It is very very interesting!  I think your watch fought on the wrist of a soldier on your side
