Up for sale is an extremely rare and highly revered Marantz Model 510M vintage stereo power amplifier. Designed during the golden era of U.S. Marantz engineering, the 510M delivers a massive power output rating of 256W + 256W into 8 ohms (300W + 300W into 4 ohms) with iconic large VU meters.
This legendary unit underwent a full professional restoration in February. Modern high-grade connection terminals have been installed, allowing seamless compatibility with modern speaker cables while preserving its classic analog warmth, dynamic headroom, and spatial precision.
Item Condition & Restoration Details
Fully Restored & Serviced: A complete restoration was performed in February. Modern output/input terminals were fitted for improved usability and connection quality.
- Restoration & Operation: Fully restored and operational. Sound performance is exceptionally powerful and clear.
- Upgraded Terminals: Stock connectors have been upgraded to modern high-quality binding post terminals.
- Foot/Cabinet Clearance Note: During restoration, the bottom feet were replaced with slightly shorter aftermarket feet. When installed inside a wooden outer cabinet, the tight front panel clearance may cause slight resonance that increases audible fan noise. Using a thin riser pad under the feet or operating the unit outside a cabinet is recommended for optimal noise isolation.
- Cosmetic Condition: Excellent restored condition with light age-appropriate surface marks. Please inspect all high-resolution photos for exact condition.
