Another Lovely Quality Japanese Satsuma Vase - Meiji Period. The vase features twin reticulated handles. The whole vase is heavily and extremely finely Gold gilded
A fine example of Satsuma wares in excellent condition. The vase is signed by Hakusan in a very classic style for this artist  and also features the Gold Shimazu family Mons symbols on the  base of the vase. Closely translated the signature (read right to left) gives homage to Great Japan ( very typical of the Meiji period) , a great work of art, Satsuma ware, Oshiguro Mansion, made by Hakusan.

The scenes depict in one panel a gathering of Samurai warriors with their Shogun Master and on the other panel a scene of courtiers on the shores of a lake at a summer palace with Mount Fuji rising in the distance
