Rare and Unusual Vintage Farber Bros Stemmed Amber Glass Compote DishThis stunning compote dish was created for the Farber Brothers company in a most distinctive Art Deco style. The chrome base is two tiered on which stands a female nude with flowing hair supporting the glass cup. The nude figure is rare inasmuch as the upright for these compote dishes is usually a simple vertical support. The amber glass dish is cradled in a filigreed chrome cup to which it is attached. The underside features the manufacturer's markings including the name of the company and the patent markings. The overall height is 8", base width is 3 3/4", dish width is 5 1/2". This item is a perfect example of the Art Deco movement and will be a most welcome addition to your collection of quality pieces.
