Unmarked but a known Jesson Birkett & Co design. (Possible remains of an etched mark on back, see image 17, does resemble part of Jesson Birkett's monogram).

Original planished copper inkpots.

Tiny bend to one end of the hinge and miniscule split to back corner, (see images 15 and 16), neither of these affect movement of lid.

Some spots of light tarnish/verdigris as visible in images, but overall lovely dark patina to the exterior of the copper.
