Waterman Fountain Pen

This is an EXCELLENT Waterman fountain pen.  Here are the facts about this pen:

  • Manufacture:  Waterman
  • Model:  452 (I think)
  • Body & cap material:  Ebonite with sterling silver overlay body and cap
  • Body & cap finish:  Black hard rubber with sterling silver pansy pattern overlay body and cap
  • Trim:  Silver
  • Cap action:  Threaded cap
  • Nib size:  Medium (see writing sample photo)
  • Nib material:   14kt gold
  • Filling system: Lever filler
  • Condition:  I think this pen is a model 452 but I'm not certain because the number on the end of the pen is not readable. This pen is pre-owned and in excellent clean condition.  The body and cap have just typical micro-scratches from use.  No dents, dings, chips, cracks or damage except a few marks at the top sides of the cap and a few dings on the top edge of the cap.  The ebonite body end has a large gouge (see photo) and some small scratches and dimples.  Good pattern with some wear from use.   Crisp, clear "Waterman's Sterling" imprint on cap lip and "Sterling Made in USA" imprint on top edge of body.  No personalization.  Excellent sterling silver clip with some light scratches. Exceptionally clean "Waterman's Reg. US. Pat Off 2" 14kt gold nib with excellent point that writes very well.  The pen has a new sac installed and fills and writes very well
  • Length:  5 1/2" long capped
  • Age:  1920's
  • Made in:  USA
