Both bulletins bear a period red ink distribution stamp reading approximately:

“FROM
Thomas E. Martin, M.C.
1st District, Iowa”

Thomas Ellsworth Martin served as U.S. Representative for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District during this period. These appear to have been distributed through his congressional office to an Iowa constituent or resident.

A nice matched pair of vintage federal agricultural publications with Iowa congressional provenance.

CONDITION:

Both are in vintage used condition with age toning, spotting, edge wear, small tears, creases, and handling wear.

Hotbeds and Coldframes has noticeable edge tears/chipping and wear, as photographed.

Making Cellars Dry shows toning, spotting, and general age wear.

Both remain readable and retain their original illustrated covers.
