This item is a 37 3/4" right-handed original hickory shafted iron. It is a mashie with the wide flanged sole and holes drilled in the hosel. Made by Wright&Ditson from their One Shot series. Head is in good vintage condition. Has the expected play nicks and dings. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. It is straight. I see no cracks, and it is tight at the hosel. Always re-set heads prior to play.  This head has already been reset for play. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in good vintage condition. 40* loft and a D 3 swingweight.  

If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.

Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3-pound box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
