This pack carries the whole PDF24 Creator line rather than a single installer. The current release, 11.30.1, is here for 64-bit Windows, for 32-bit Windows, and for Windows on Arm. The 9.20.0 release is here for Windows 7 and Windows 8. The 8.6.1 release is here for Windows XP, and it is the last one the vendor published for that system. Every one of them is on the disc as both the EXE setup program and the MSI administrative package, and the vendor's own manual and changelog come with them.
PDF24 Creator works offline. The setup program carries a Java runtime, a Ghostscript, a qpdf, a Tesseract OCR engine and Microsoft WebView2 inside the one file, so it installs completely on a computer that has never seen the internet, and the application runs on your own machine with your files staying on your own machine. That is what makes a disc the right way to install it: nothing about the setup depends on a download.
You do not need any special knowledge to use it. PDF24 Creator installs a printer called PDF24, so the Print command inside any program you already use can send a document to a PDF file, and the desktop program that comes with it opens that PDF for editing, combining, compressing, protecting or converting. Run the installer, follow it, and print something.
The vendor's manual is a web page rather than a file, so it is saved here for offline reading and it opens in any browser from the disc.

Which file should I install?
Open the PDF24 Creator folder and pick by your Windows version and your processor. Windows 11 or 10 on 64-bit uses pdf24-creator-11.30.1-x64.exe, on 32-bit uses pdf24-creator-11.30.1-x86.exe, and on Arm uses pdf24-creator-11.30.1-arm64.exe. Windows 7 and Windows 8 use the 9.20.0 files. Windows XP uses pdf24-creator-8.6.1-x86.exe. The Read Me on the disc repeats all of this.
Does this work on a Mac?
No. The vendor publishes PDF24 Creator for Windows, and its own pages direct Mac users to the browser tools on its website, so this pack is Windows only.
Is the manual included?
Yes, in the form the vendor publishes it. The PDF24 Creator 11 Manual and the changelog are web pages, and both are saved onto the media so they open in any browser with no internet connection. The manual covers the installers and their options, the registry settings, the language files and the command line tools.
Why are there both an EXE and an MSI of the same version?
The EXE setup program is the one for an individual computer. The MSI package is the one the vendor publishes for administrative distribution, so a company can install it silently across many machines and control properties such as the desktop icons, the fax printer and the Reader registration. They are the same application, and you only need one of them.
Does it need an internet connection to install?
No. The setup program carries a Java runtime, Ghostscript, qpdf, Tesseract and Microsoft WebView2 inside the single file, so the installation completes on a computer that is offline. The application then runs entirely on your own machine, and your files are never uploaded anywhere.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF24 Creator is the offline desktop application, not the website. The vendor's own support page states that files remain locally on your computer and are not uploaded to the internet. The browser tools on the vendor's website are a separate service, and this pack does not use them.
Does this software need a product key or activation?
No. PDF24 Creator is licensed for private and commercial use. There is no product key, no activation step, no registration, no account, and no time limit. It may be installed on as many computers as you like.
Is it portable? Can it run from the disc?
No. PDF24 Creator installs into Windows, because the features it provides depend on a printer driver and a Windows service being registered. It is not a portable application. Install it from the disc, and copy the pack to your computer first so that the installer does not have to read the whole disc.
Do I need to copy the pack to my computer first?
For DVD orders, copy the pack folder to your computer (for example, your Desktop) first, then run the installer from there. DVDs have much slower read speeds than USB drives, and a DVD install run directly from the disc will be slow.
