Two Features That Need A Separate Install

Blender for 3D animated titles: OpenShot drives Blender to render animated 3D title templates, and Blender is a separate installation. OpenShot's own user guide covers it.
Inkscape for editing SVG titles: The title templates are SVG files, and editing them as vectors is done in Inkscape.

Which version of Windows is supported?

OpenShot's own documentation lists Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, on a 64 bit operating system. Any reasonably modern 64 bit computer will run it.

Does it work on a 32 bit PC?

A 32 bit installer is included from both release lines, alongside the 64 bit installers. Note that OpenShot's own minimum specification lists a 64 bit operating system, so the 64 bit build is the normal choice. The portable build is 64 bit only.

Is it heavy on hardware?

OpenShot asks for 4 GB of RAM minimum and recommends 16 GB or more for video work, a 64 bit multi-core processor, and a solid state drive if you have one. Allow around 1 GB for the installation and 50 GB or more for the video files themselves.

Do I need to copy the pack to my computer first?

The USB version runs the portable build directly from the drive. For DVD orders, copy the pack folder to your computer (e.g., your Desktop) first for best performance, then run the portable launcher or an installer from there.
