Antique Heddon Jointed Vamp wooden fishing lure, believed to be the Series 7300 model introduced around the late 1920s.

This substantial lure measures approximately 4 3/4 inches long across the wooden body, not including the hooks and hardware. It has a three-section articulated wood body with two joints, a stamped Heddon’s Dowagiac metal diving lip and two large barbed treble hooks.

The lure retains its wonderfully aged yellow and red painted finish. It shows extensive honest fishing and tackle-box wear, including paint loss, crackling and crazing, scratches, scuffs, discoloration, staining and oxidation or tarnish to the metal components. There is especially noticeable finish loss along the curved front body and around the joints.

The body remains connected and articulates at both joints. The hooks are sharp and show age-related oxidation. This has not been cleaned, polished or tested in water and is being offered exactly as found.

A terrific early Heddon collectible with loads of character—equally appealing for a serious vintage tackle collection, fishing-cabin display or rustic sporting décor.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description. Ruler and display accessories are not included.
