these are original ''Spur shelving system'' book ends with compartment to put labels , they are solid metal , and hence very heavy (each one is 360gms) and so very strong for holding the heavy volumes you may have , there are 4 , and 2 facing , so 2 sets of 2 , and also very handy that you don't see on many book ends are little compartments for labelling your books
