Pepsi-Cola / Pepsi – c1960s 12 fl.oz flat top Can. Empty but Sealed - never opened.
This is a pretty good example of an unopened but empty very sturdy 4½” high x just over 2½” diameter Pepsi-Cola can that dates from around the mid-1960s or so. It is a British can as the top surface has the works Canned for the Park Bottling Co Ltd at the rim. Also the words Serve Pepsi Chilled. As can be seen in my pictures, the tin is not perfect as it has some minor spotting / foxing and there are a few TINY ‘dings’ by the rims. I have taken quite a few photos that will hopefully show it clearly.
Oddly / Interestingly the can has not been opened. No holes or indentations. But the tin is empty – other than what sounds like a flake or two of rust. Looking carefully, I cannot find any holes of any kind so perhaps the Pepsi seeped out of the seam (although I cannot find any damage there either). Surely it cannot simply evaporate? But the can is made all the more attractive in that it is complete with no holes.
