It is safe for use if you have shrimp, snails, and other inverts as well as for your fish.

Notes
* Nitrate in the levels used for a planted tank are fine when dosed separately to the Nitrogen cycle - i.e. your filter process.
** Phosphate does not cause algae – Sick plants from a lack of adequate nutrition does.

Q: I read that Copper is harmful to Shrimps and Inverts.
A: In high doses it can be, however in low doses it's essential for plants and inverts alike – copper is to invert blood as iron is to humans. - This is a safe dose.
