Octavio Ocampo’s Calvary is one of those works that changes the longer you look at it. At first it is a dramatic Crucifixion scene, but the surrounding imagery gradually forms the larger face of Christ, with additional Christian symbolism hidden throughout the composition.

Approx. 11” x 14”. Print is mounted/matted in black with gold-tone border accents. The reverse includes an explanatory sheet identifying the work as Calvary and describing the symbolism within Ocampo’s metamorphic composition. Religious imagery includes Christ on the cross, multiple crosses, faces, eyes, birds, figures and other symbolic elements.
