An early illustrated edition of Pinocchio by C. Collodi, translated from the Italian by M. A. Murray and illustrated by Charles Folkard. Published by David McKay of Philadelphia as part of The Golden Books for Children series, this undated edition is generally attributed to circa 1920.

The book includes wonderful period illustrations, including full-page color plates by Charles Folkard. A handwritten ownership inscription dated 1925 helps establish that this copy was already in use by that year.

Vintage hardcover shows substantial age and wear including cover wear, edge and corner wear, aging/toning to pages, binding wear and areas of separation/weakness as shown. There are also small holes/damage along portions of the page block. No copyright page/date is printed in the book. Please review photographs carefully for condition.
