For sale is a magnificent, highly comprehensive 35-piece antique Japanese Kutani eggshell porcelain afternoon tea and dessert service. This beautiful estate collection dates from the late Meiji to early Showa era (circa 1910s–1930s). 

Each piece is meticulously hand-painted with a traditional landscape featuring Geisha figures by a lakeside bridge, with Mount Fuji elegantly rendered in the background. The design is heavily accented by delicate raised coral/rust enamel detailing and fine gold gilt trim. The serving pieces feature the authentic, hand-stamped Kutani leaf workshop mark on the underside.

This is a remarkably large collection that offers a full "Service for 8" with plenty of matching tableware and spare plates—perfect for display or afternoon tea.

Condition Report

This set is in wonderful antique condition given its near century of age and extreme fragility. The hand-painted decorations and gold trim remain bright and vibrant with only minor, expected age-related wear to the gilding. 

• Serving Pieces & Plates: The teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, master serving bowl, and all 23 plates/saucers are almost entirely free of chips, cracks, or restorations.
• Teacups: All 8 cups are visually beautiful with no visible chips or cracks. When tested for structural integrity, 6 of the cups chime beautifully. 2 of the cups have internal hairline cracks (they sound dull when tapped, but remain entirely visually intact and perfect for display).

Condition:

Used - Good. In good used condition with minor signs of wear on the gold detailing. Please see photos.
