DP-12 Dosimeter — developed in the USSR in 1959 for the Soviet Army.

It was designed to measure gamma radiation in the range from 1 mR/h to 125 mR/h, and beta radiation from 1,000 disintegrations per minute up to 5 million disintegrations per minute.

The device was used during nuclear missile tests to assess radioactive contamination of personnel, vehicles, and terrain.

It features an interesting mechanical range-switching system, where the measurement scale changes physically when switching subranges.
