Hong Kong 5 Cents 1967 – Elizabeth II – Uncirculated
A 1967 Hong Kong 5 Cents coin featuring the first portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This was issued during the period when Hong Kong was a British Crown Colony.
The coin is struck in nickel-brass and features a distinctive security edge. The obverse shows the crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, designed by Cecil Thomas. The reverse features the denomination in English and Chinese within a beaded circle, with the date 1967 below.
The 1967 issue had a mintage of approximately 10 million pieces.
