This bass pays homage to Music Man’s American craftsmanship of the era, featuring numerous authentic details that evoke the classic look and feel of vintage StingRays.

The body is crafted from ash with a high gloss polyester finish, providing both durability and a stunning, glossy vintage appearance. The slab body design is free of contours, maintaining the original 70s aesthetic. The maple neck, with a slight yellow tint, is a 1-piece construction with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, black dot markers, and a 7.5-inch radius for smooth playability. The neck is attached via a 3-bolt plate with Microtilt adjustment, allowing for precise neck angle modifications.

This model features a vintage-style alnico humbucking pickup with long alnico 5 magnets, wound with original poly-nylon wire, accurately reproducing early 70s pickup specifications, including pole pieces protruding behind the bobbin. The active circuit includes a 2-band EQ (treble and bass) and a top-mounted jack, with a vintage-style rectangular circuit board molded from resin, reminiscent of the pre-arnie ball period.

Additional features include a pre-EB Geometry Music Man chrome-plated steel bridge with vintage stainless steel saddles, Schaller bass tuning machines, and a 34-inch scale length for classic tone and sustain. The bass is equipped with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (45w-100w) for optimal sound.
