Vintage Y2K Made in Italy Gray Silk Overlay Floral Appliqué Blouse – XL
Beautiful vintage Y2K-era Italian silk-overlay blouse in a wonderfully muted stone gray / taupe gray with elaborate tonal floral detailing.
Classic early-2000s Italian romantic-bohemian construction with a lightweight, softly crinkled silk outer layer creating an airy, fluid drape over the body.
The neckline is the star: an asymmetric garland of dimensional crocheted and embroidered floral appliqués surrounds the scoop neckline, with sculptural rosette centers and openwork leaves. A softly cascading ruffle falls from the front neckline for additional movement and texture.
And because apparently ordinary embroidered flowers were insufficiently Italian, the back neckline is finished with metal grommets set directly into several of the little floral appliqués. It's wonderfully strange and gives the otherwise romantic blouse just a touch of industrial Y2K detail.
