Here's a fine hand carved figurine of a young man who looks like he is going mountain climbing designed by Josef Aibl for Oberammergau or Hotzschnitzeien of Germany.  The man is standing and holding a pickaxe in his right hand.  He has a rope over his left shoulder and other tools on his belt.  This figurine is hand carved and hand painted.


The figure measures 5½ inches tall.  He weighs about 2 ounces before packaging materials.


 It is in excellent condition no missing pieces, chips or damage to the wood.

 

There is a paper label on the underside as shown.  It also has the date of 2000.
