CMC M-252 - Ferrari 250 GTO 3445GT - Targa Florio 1964 Ulf Norinder #112 - 1:18.

Selling this absolutely stunning CMC model:

Model: CMC
Scale: 1:18
Car: FERRARI 250 GTO #3445GT
Race: Targa Florio 1964
Drivers: Ulf Norinder, Picko Troberg
item no. : M-252

Condition: absolutely mint, top condition. No dust. No fingerprints (only handled wearing gloves). First owner.

Modifications:

Norinder always drove with Goodyear Blue streak tires on his GTO, and although you don’t find many photos during the Targa were this becomes apparent, because after a bit of racing through the Sicilian hills the tires become very dirty, it was still very much the case as you can see in the historical photos I provide.

Chrome wheels weren’t a thing for 1960s race cars and the GTO’s drove in period with silver wheels. Chroming the wheels actually weakened their structural integrity, hence it was avoided.

For me, the model now captures the spirit of its historical counterpart much better! And I hope it goes to a new owner who will have the same appreciation!

Here a list of what has been done:

1. Real CMC Goodyear Blue streak tires that I got as a gift from CMC for some of my work (so the original very high quality tires that belong on a CMC model). I specifically requested these tires for my GTO. There is documentation present to add to its story, like a handwritten note from cmc management and a CMC headquarters delivery note.

2. Silver painted wheels instead of polished.

3. Spacers on the wheel hubs for a more aggressive stance (they can be taken off too).

4. De-chromed brake discs.

5. Blacked-out the two round air intakes in the nose.

6. Put the seatbelts in place so they don’t float.

The model comes with all accessories, certificate/booklet, tools, nose flaps + screws, window papers, tape pieces for the body. 100% complete. The original dunlop tires are included in the sale.

Selling this model because I am restructuring my collection.

I am an experienced collector, I’ve been collecting and occasionally selling Modelcars for 15 years. I’ll use a sturdy box, use bubble foil and foam chips for protection, and around the box I will put tape to indicate it is a fragile package (see last image). I have splendid reviews for my safe and fast shipping.
